Who We Are
The 411editing Team
editing.mov is run and affiliated with the 411editing team — a group of editors with decades of combined experience in video production and the editing community. We built this site because we believe the tools that make great editing possible should be accessible to everyone, not locked behind paywalls or scattered across sketchy forums.
We don't profit from this. No ads, no subscriptions, no upsells. Just a clean, curated space maintained by people who actually edit.
Safety
How We Verify Files
Every file shared on editing.mov goes through a verification process before it's listed. We run submissions through VirusTotal and test them inside isolated virtual machines to observe behavior before anything touches a real system. On top of that, our curators and contributors are experienced editors who know what legitimate software looks and acts like.
That said — no verification process is bulletproof. We always recommend scanning downloads yourself and keeping project backups.
When in doubt, scan with Malwarebytes or BitDefender, or run the file in a sandboxed environment before installing on your main machine.
Safety
False Positives
Some antivirus tools — particularly Windows Defender — will flag cracked or repacked software. This is expected. Modifying an application's original files inherently triggers heuristic detections, even when the file is clean.
Detections labelled as PUP (potentially unwanted program), !ML (machine learning heuristic), Rep/Reputation, or Hacktool can typically be dismissed. If you see a specific named threat, reach out before dismissing it.

Where It Comes From
We don't own or produce any of the software hosted here. The majority of software comes from established warez groups — organised teams that crack, repack, and distribute commercial software. These groups have operated within the scene for years and have built reputations around clean, unmodified distributions that can be verified against original file hashes.
In the creative and editing space specifically, groups like m0nkrus and KpoJIuK are widely regarded for their Adobe repacks, while groups like Team V.R and Team R2R are trusted sources for audio and video plugins. These aren't random uploads — scene releases follow internal standards and are cross-checked within the community before wide distribution.
Beyond warez groups, content also comes from direct community submissions — editors in our network sharing tools and presets they've personally tested and use in their own work.
All sources are vetted before we list anything from them. If a group's reputation changes or a file is flagged as problematic, it gets pulled.

On Piracy
We don't endorse piracy. The software shared on this site is provided strictly for educational purposes. We understand the line is a fine one, and we don't take it lightly.
If you're in a position to support the developers behind the tools you use regularly, we encourage you to do so. editing.mov is a resource for those who otherwise wouldn't have access — not a substitute for supporting work you genuinely value.
DMCA requests are taken seriously and handled promptly. We are accountable for what we host.
Presets
A Note on Presets
Presets on editing.mov are sourced from paid stores and platforms — places like Payhip and similar marketplaces where creators sell After Effects presets, motion packs, and templates.
Our position is straightforward: the large majority of these presets are built using cracked software. Charging money for work produced with tools you didn't pay for is a practice we don't support. We make those presets available here for free as a direct alternative to that ecosystem.
This is not a knock on the creators themselves — many produce genuinely great work. It's a stance on the model of gating community-made content behind a paywall when the tools used to make it were free to the creator.
Know of a preset pack we haven't listed yet? Drop it in our Discord and a curator will review it.
